This book brings together 22 sermons preached at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. Over the years, this church has served as a vital and creative center for the development of an imaginative and activist eco-spirituality. Under the leadership of Dean James Parks Morton, the pulpit of the "Green" Cathedral has been shared by Al Gore, Jr., Mary Catherine Bateson, James Lovelock, Thomas Berry, and others. Their sermons are arranged under four thematic headings: the trouble we've seen; a new, new world; nature, God, and us; and stewardship and renewal. These sermons are prophetic, inspiring, and informative.
