Edward Burns won the Grand Jury Prize at the 1995 Sundance Film Festival with The Brothers McMullen which he wrote, directed, and starred in. Three brothers wrestle with the burdens imposed upon them by their Irish Catholic background and family idiosyncrasies. They each struggle with the rigors of nurturing, commitment, loyalty, and marital love. Burns' second film, She's the One, is a romantic comedy about sibling rivalry and sexual politics. His third, No Looking Back, is a fresh and fluid psychodrama that explores a young woman's decision during a romantic crisis to take her destiny into her own hands.
These three screenplays are included in this paperback along with photo stills and an original autobiographical introduction where Burns discusses his entry into the world of filmmaking. Early indications are that this talented writer and director might be a worthy successor to John Cassavetes.
