White Fang 2 succeeds as fine family entertainment and as a crosscultural tale of Haida Indian spirituality. In this sequel to the film based on Jack London's novel, White Fang's new master is Henry Casey (Scott Bairstow), a prospector who loses track of the dog after a rafting accident. The youth is rescued by an Indian princess (Charmaine Craig). Her uncle, the chief of a tribe that is starving, has had a dream in which a white wolf leads them to the caribou. When White Fang finally catches up with Henry, he's got his work cut out for him. Ken Olin directs this animal-driven drama with proper respect for its four-legged star and the beautiful Alaskan wilderness scenery.
