In Eating, writer and director Henry Jaglom explored women's diverse attitudes toward food and related issues. In Babyfever, the topic is motherhood. At a baby shower, a large group of women share their hopes and fears about the biological clock, pregnancy, unsatisfying relationships with men, single parenthood, adoption, sperm banks, religion and birth, and the effect of children upon marital relationships. The focus of the film is on Gena (Victoria Foyt), a woman caught between two lovers and her ambivalent feelings about career and family.
Explores the topic of motherhood from many angles.
