The fact is that creation has never stopped. The creative act is one huge continual gesture, drawn out over the totality of time. It is still going on; and, incessantly even if imperceptibly, the world is constantly emerging a little farther above nothing-ness. Through the whole breadth and depth of the cosmos, it is in truth the divine action that still molds us, as it molded the clay on the first day of creation.
