Meditation needn't be defined as an isolated activity done in a lab or on a special cushion designed for Buddhist bottoms; it's basically nothing more than the exercise of singular, mindful attention in a relaxed but focused and alert way. Scrubbing pots, drinking tea, playing golf, sketching, or even shining shoes, when done in a highly focused and mindful way, is meditation.
