"Inner" phenomena, such as feelings, values, thoughts, dreams, intuitions, longings, and so forth can be and, in decisive ways, sometimes are very much connected to "outer" events, such as phone calls, gifts, social life, love affairs, and the like. Synchronistic events urge upon us a view of the world as a unified field in which one's own experiences and actions are fundamentally connected to the experiences and actions of others.
