If you say to yourself, "I am helping you," your ego's poisonous energy burdens the other person, and your ego of helping makes the other person feel uncomfortable and ashamed. Do it instead in order to make Buddha happy and to serve Buddha. There is no ego in such a mind, and this will not hurt the other person's feelings. Leading sentient beings to salvation is Buddha's job. Our job is serving Buddha.
