A cyber minyan [quorum for worship] is one in which we recognize that others are doing the same thing we are — opening ourselves to the Transcendent, saying the same words and blessings — but doing so in different places, perhaps even at the same time. It may not satisfy all our needs for community; in fact I am sure it will not. But it may help us overcome some of the loneliness and isolation we feel. And it may also add to our growing notion of a global community, all descendants of the One.
