The late Benedictine monk, Father Bede Griffiths, who ran an ashram in southern India that served both Christians and Hindus for about fifty years, was asked late in his life about sexuality. His answer was as simple as it was profound. Sexuality, he said, is far too powerful to repress and keep down, and it is also too powerful to allow to run totally unbridled.
