Since our bodies carry within their very structure and cellular memory the circular motion of the stars, planets, and galaxies, these latent forces are aroused when the body rotates — as in the whirling of the dervishes, or the movement of one's head and chest rotating around one's heart center in the practice of the dhikr, a ritual of remembrance for inviting the Divine Presence into the chamber of the heart.
