A student once asked one of the Chinese masters for the most important word in Zen. The master replied, "Yes." This "yes," a total acceptance of what is (as opposed to hopeless resignation) is a return to the spontaneity, simplicity and innocence of childhood. It's what Jesus meant when he said, "Suffer little children and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." In other words, let the playful energy be unbound.
