Carol Zaleski, in discussing the . . . problem of finding images for life after death and that the images we do find tend to be contradictory, says, as it seems to me wisely:
"All of these images are needed. None of them is sufficient or exact."
We would suggest then that these two principles, ever-newness and awaking to what has always been there, are the two sides to the understanding of Theosis. . . .
