The liberation of the oppressed is a moral duty, and in many situations a duty that is self-evident, at least for the oppressed. The liberation of the oppressors is in most cases not a self-evident duty, at least not for the oppressors, who profit from the oppression of the others. They are blind, and fail to see the suffering they inflict on their victims. They are blinded, and find many grounds to justify their baseness. The liberation of the oppressors, so that they can arrive at their own human dignity and at true human community with the others, is an experience which requires more than good will: the master has to die so that the brother can be born. Control over others must give way to community with others.
