We can neither minimize nor explain away another's suffering or the spiritual and emotional impact that arises from tragic events such as accidents and terrorist acts. Nor can we blame those who seem to be captured in unending cycles of depression, negativity, and self-destruction. Suffering is a call to love and compassion, not judgment.
