2. It is entirely spiritual and transcendental, having no interest in magical control over worldly events.
3. It is centered in love.
4. Union with God . . . transforms the self for ever richer levels of life.
5. The authentic mystic becomes unselfish . . . (self-forgetting, self-surrendering, and self-transcending).
