Providing music and other pleasant sounds for unborn babies has been found to stimulate their auditory systems and to have a positive effect on their response to music and other sounds after birth. Babies exposed to soothing, relaxing music while in the womb have also been found to grow and gain weight easily, and to be more at peace with themselves and their environment once they are welcomed into the "real world."
