I demonstrate my commitment to peace by:

1) Noticing my desires as they arise and envisioning how I will feel once I realize my desires. I will remain centered and peaceful even as I strive to fulfill my wants and needs.
2) Identifying when I am demonstrating qualities of hostility and looking for ways to reframe my hostile perspective. I will seek ways to express my needs without damaging the people around me.
3) More consciously choosing to express peace in my thoughts, words and actions. As I prepare to go to sleep, I will review my words and actions, and see if I added to peace today. If I recognize that in my need to defend my self-importance, I contributed to turbulence in some way, I will make a commitment to contribute to peace tomorrow.
