Whenever we create this thing we call "a relationship," we are meeting another person in several dimensions at once. On the spiritual level we are fulfilling a soul agreement; that is, an ancient promise made before we were born in the realm of the spirit, to meet with another person in this life and engage in a relationship that would expand our soul's experience of love. But we also love as personalities, as people with families and histories, heartaches and grudges, talents and aspirations, dashed dreams and unexpected miracles. In personality, we live what we think of as ordinary life, raising children, having houses, paying bills, being young, and getting old.
