Imagination is the power of human self-transcendence. It enables us human beings to be shaped and conditioned by more than our environment, traditions, or destiny. It empowers us to be a creative self, a self that can "image" beyond itself and give expression to what it perceives and grasps in relation to the mysteries of life and the universe. Imagination, in short, gives us freedom from the limitation of time and space.
