Every human being is a mystic in his or her own right. Tragically, ours is the first "great" civilization to deprive its people of this truth; the first, despite its pop and fundamentalist religiosity, not to offer as the highest station of human life the states of unity, wisdom, compassion and grace which come through transcendental experience.
