Many objects, both human-made and naturally occurring, have a beauty, a grace, a charisma around them that is very appealing. This may be due to their shape, to the processes that went into creating them, and to their functionality. Any psychic worth his or her salt will tell you that objects are also infused with the energy of the people who created them, own them, or use them. Consider, for example, the energy state or essence of a cross or a chalice used to celebrate a High Mass. These are not considered ordinary objects but are imbued with a mystery — a field of energy — appropriate to their sacramental use.
