Jesus told us to consider the lilies of the field. In his discourse on worry, he invited us to consider — meditate on — the lilies. The word used for "consider" in the Greek text is kataneo, which includes within it the meaning "to look at with reflection" or "to contemplate." Jesus stops us in our hurried pace and beckons us "to see" and observe in a fresh way.
