I do not think we know all of our shadows; perhaps they are revealed to us as we are able to bear them.

Did Jesus, the mortal Jesus, recognize his? Was the story of the blasted fig tree an acting out of that shadow? I do not think this is a blasphemous question. Jesus put on full mortality for our sakes, otherwise he is God only pretending to be human.
