Live and Let Live

"Releasing ourselves from the affairs of others is a profoundly freeing experience. It means we can achieve our own goals. It means we can focus on practicing the principles of peaceful living wherever we go. It simplifies our lives and makes us available to do the work that God has chosen for us to do, the work we agreed to do before our arrival here. Live and let live doesn't mean living without caring about other people. It just means getting out of their way; it means approaching every interaction from the perspective that we are in one another's lives for the purpose of learning specific lessons. In every interaction we are exchanging information. Every encounter gives us an opportunity to be of help to one another but not to control. Coming from this perspective, we can approach our social interactions as both teacher and student. But taking charge of others, or trying to, is never one of the assignments. How lucky we are that this is true.”
