Elliott S. Dacher received his medical degree in 1970 and practiced full-time internal medicine for 21 years. Today he practices and teaches the principles of integral health, a path which he believes can lead to the fruits of human flourishing — authentic happiness and genuine wholeness. He finds in the ancient art of Aesclepian healing a path that is holistic, evolutionary, intentional, person-centered, and dynamic.

Taking a cue from Ken Wilber, the author shows how integral healing addresses both inner and outer aspects of human existence. Attention to the former, our inner healing capacities, may actually be the most needed. He notes, "To transform health and life we must shift our gaze inward, where we will find the ever-present source of exceptional health and healing."
