The three guests on this hour-long dialogue with New Dimensions Radio host Michael Toms are Barbara Findeisen, Vice-President of the Association for Pre- and Perinatal Psychology and Health; Bruce Lipton, a cellular biologist; and Margot Heiniger-White, co-author of Kids Learn from the Inside Out. (1994) They all maintain that infants inside the womb have consciousness and vicariously experience what the mother is feeling. Or as Lipton puts it: "Emotions are chemistry in the blood, and the chemistry of emotions passes through the placental barrier just as well as nutrients."

The three guests talk about the long-term effects of early deprivations in the womb — especially the problems experienced by premature babies, unwanted babies, those born blue, and those who had no tactile stimulation from their mothers. All of these experts make a good case for conscious parenting where mothers pay close attention to their emotions and attitudes while pregnant. Positive and loving thoughts and feelings that are passed to the infant will cradle that child and create a safe and secure environment for their early development.
