This book reports on the author's survey of 110 Catholic women of different ages, cultures, and lifestyles. Being Catholic is equated with being generous by many of these women and, judging from their commentary on the sacraments, prayer, and respect for saints, they are attuned to the presence of God in their lives. Nonetheless, the Catholic church continues to slight them with its lack of "acknowledgement of women's gifts and devotion, inclusion of women in decision-making, and expansion of women's roles."
