Calendar (Zeitgeist) is a three-character film by the award-winning Canadian director Atom Egoyan. He plays a photographer who travels to Armenia with his wife (Arsinee Khanjian) to do a shoot of churches for a calendar. She falls in love with their Armenian guide (Ashot Adamian). This clever film is an interesting portrait of an artist whose detachment from the world and from his own experiences has dire consequences. It also demonstrates the games people play to hide from their feelings.
