In God we see that silence is not opposed to words, but true Word-communication comes from the silence of the Spirit of love and continues to be spoken and lived out in the same silence of the Spirit. Perhaps a good way to understand God's communicative silence is to study the classic Byzantine icon of the Trinity painted by the Russian monk Andrei Rublev (c. 1408-25).

This painting is a mystical vision, through harmony and relationship of colors and circular lines, of the inner trinitarian life of movement and rest, peace and joy, a community of three in one.
