Our "flights into Egypt" are those times when destructive situations force us to take ourselves away from conditions that could bring us immense hurt or keep us from being the person we are meant to become. If we continue to perpetuate or stay in those situations, dreadful consequences will result. Our "Herods" can suffocate our dreams, erode our enthusiasm, damage our faith, ruin our health, or turn us into resentful, angry persons whose spirits are withered with unresolved conflict.
