Frequently one sees in the Hindu ashrams and shrines a picture of the Sacred Heart — the rather saccharine depictions one now tends to deplore in the West. The Hindus love this image of Christ showing his Heart, for it is so consonant with the interiority of the Upanishadic "cave of the heart."
