Looking at my village with a Western eye, one could say that the poverty is unbelievable. It is the same in my village as in most African villages. What people do not see, however, is the spiritual richness amidst the poverty. It is this spiritual unity and the simplicity of life that help people to live in a healthy and happy way. Wealth is not determined by how much we have in our bank accounts but by how many people we have around us and how much our spirit, soul, and heart have to offer.
