Peace can come through a deep and abiding awareness of our collective vulnerability. It's hard to see what possible power there could be in our collective feelings of helplessness, fear, and grief. If there is a power here, it's not about enduring being defenseless in the face of horrific violence. This is where the necessity to see the wider emotional ecology of our dark emotions becomes paramount. We are more than individually vulnerable — we are intervulnerable.
