In his or her search for the divine model, the Sufi values the countenance behind the face as the device whereby God discovers Her splendor manifesting as beauty and majesty in the mirror of the existential world. By the same token, that which transpires through that which appears serves as a clue whereby God discloses Her beauty and majesty to us, as a spur to enhance our love for God.
