"Enter any house that will welcome you," said the One Who came among us, "share their meal, tend their sick, and there is where you will find the kingdom."

More and more I see my own work as that of a host of some sort, setting up tables and pulling up chairs by way of the books that I am given to write and the retreats that I am allowed to lead. I want to keep welcoming people in, hanging up coats and handing out refreshments, if you will. And all the while, I am to be introducing people to others, other travelers and pilgrims who have been looking through one window or another for a while and who are now perhaps bound for some new vantage point.
