The silence of God is empty of content but full of intent. In that silence you grow silent. In that silence you let go of all you think and know about who you are and what you are to do. And in that place of not-knowing, you experience yourself being asked: Why are you here? The answer? To do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly. And, in the case of the prophets, to call others to do the same.
