Mindful thank-yous. For the next three days, say thank you to whoever give you something. When you say thank you, make sure you mention the item or service for which you are expressing thanks. For example, "Thank you, Jim, for helping me move the sofa." Or, "Thank you for bringing me more coffee." This phrasing helps us avoid "mindless" thank-yous in which we say the words but pay little attention to the person or service.
