The human imagination is a powerful creative faculty. We might even say that who we are depends on what we imagine ourselves to be. The Christian faith is in large part a matter of finding and applying images to one's life and to the world. In the examination of our lives, and, through faith, the application of Christian images to our lives, we might make adjustments to our self-images. The gospel of Jesus invites people to see themselves as God's children and as citizens of a great and beloved place, the kingdom of God.
