Think of the people you know and respect who lead very ethical lives and treat everyone they meet with thoughtfulness and compassion. Don't they seem to shine with a light from within? The late John F. Kennedy Jr., who met the Dalai Lama on several occasions, said that whenever they parted, "it was like the man carrying the lamp left the room." Bodhisattvas are wisdom warriors.
