If my religion does not help me to connect with the divine, the self within, with you, with mother earth, to me that is no religion. The religious tendency is to live comfortably with our own "private" or exclusive communities, whether they be religious or ethnic. What we need to create is a larger circle that offers a sense of belonging to us all through prayer and worship together, opening our hearts and giving a soul to the community.
