The poet within us loves much of what the child loves: questioning, taking risks, imagining, exploring new possibilities, hugging life, playing! The poet within us also knows much of what the child knows: loneliness, hurt, the largeness of everything, fear of darkness, a longing to be heard. Yet beyond these, there is something else that the poet within us has in common with the child: a creative spark.
