This awakening to the Transcendent is what we are made for. In the Christian tradition, it was St. John, the beloved Disciple, who called out from the boat, "It is the Lord! . . . It is you!" Mary Magdalene, too, said, "It is you!" in her utterance of "Rabboni!" Nicholas of Cusa, one of the Christian mystics, cried out: "Wherever I turn there you are!" In other words, "It's you!"
