So many of the subjugated knowledge buried in the Western unconscious seem to be manifestations of embodied knowledge. Women, who have preserved more of this kind of knowledge, therefore, become a pivotal element in negotiating what the future of the human species, and of all other species and life forms, will be. To be truly embodied and not cut off from one's body-soul is to be able to feel with, to empathize with other persons, species, and life forms.
