Hafiz:
"I am in love with every church and mosque and temple
And any kind of shrine
Because I know it is there
That people say the different names
Of the one God.

Ibn' Arabi:
"My heart is capable of every form:
A cloister for the monk, a temple for idols,
A pasture for gazelles, the votary's Ka' aba,
The tables of the Torah, the Qur'an.
Love is the creed I hold."

Hazrat Inayat:
"The faithful of different religions know God according to the form in which they conceive Him, not in the form in which another religion conceives Him. The message of our time collects all forms in one, universal form to which people are not accustomed, so that the followers of all religions may worship at the same time.
"The aim of the Sufi message is to unite [humanity] in a world kinship beyond the boundaries of caste, creed, race, nation, or religion, realizing the whole of humanity is one single body and that all nations, communities, and races are the different organs. The happiness and well-being of each of them is the happiness and well-being of the whole body."
