Richard Miller is a master of yoga and meditation who holds a doctorate in clinical psychology. He is a co-founder of the International Association of Yoga Therapy and has guided thousands of students in Yoga Nidra in group classes, individual sessions, workshops, and meditation retreats. This term refers to one of the regular parts of a yoga class when individuals are told to rest in savasana — the "corpse" pose which is designed to elicit peace, equanimity, and unalloyed presence. According to Miller, Gandhi practiced Yoga Nidra on the train between speaking engagements. Others have used this technique to combat stress, overcome fear of flying, or prepare for sleep.

Miller notes: "Yoga Nidra teaches you how to recognize and disidentify from your core negative beliefs and habit patterns, which hinder and cripple you from leading a truly contented life free from dissatisfaction and suffering." This integrated book and CD set contains two practice sessions totaling 79 minutes on yoga Nidra.
