Nancy Napier is a marriage and family therapist in New York City and the author of Sacred Practices for Conscious Living (1995). In this interview with host Michael Toms she talks about the challenges of taking responsibility for what happens to us every day. One way is to become familiar with those parts of ourselves that we find disagreeable. Another is to see the connections that link us to all people.

According to Napier, each small act we put forward in the universe adds our little piece for the collective consciousness. Making the most of our intuition and keeping an open heart are two other sacred practices for conscious living. Napier's transpersonal psychology is spelled out concretely in this interview.
