Six little rabbits are digging in the ground and they discover a very large carrot. With a great deal of effort, they lift it up and carry it home. Along the way, they discuss what to do with it.

The first idea is to make it into a boat and say hello to all the fishes. The second idea is to transform it into a plane and fly to far-off lands. The rabbits also consider making the carrot into a garden high up in the sky or creating the biggest house in the world. All this thought makes the rabbits very hungry until one other scheme comes into their minds.

The Very Big Carrot is a children's picture book written and illustrated by Satoe Tone. It is designed for children from the ages of 2 through 6 years of age. The wonderful thing about imagination is that it enables us to discover that there is always something new to be felt, seen, known, and appreciated in life. This book shows how much fun it is to spin and share ideas with others. Tone makes a good case for imagination.
