Dreams about animals usually deal with strong emotions and are indicative of "prime root" issues in our lives. Animals in dreams signify our basic instincts. They appeal to our deepest desires to be wild and free.

In this beautifully illustrated children's book by Emily Winfield Martin, two children are delivered to a variety of dreamlands by different animals. They are required to close their eyes as they are carried to their destination by wing or paw or fin.

What are the dreamlands they visit? One is a place where a feast for misfits never ends; another is an elfin hollow underground; a third is in the sky high over the trees; and a fourth is beneath the seas. There is something special about each of these dreamlands: they will draw out the imagination of little boys and girls from ages of two to five years of age.

Writer and illustrator Emily Winfield Martin has come up with a concept that encourages children to remember the vivid and revealing lands of their dreams. These are journeys that matter because they open our eyes and hearts and minds to new possibilities.
