Many are the scabs that cover the eyes of those who see,

and many are those with a longing for god who live along this sea.

To see God's rich design of life, look with eyes that are scale-free,

and read God's first word boldly scribed in every plant and seed.

God loves variety: Look in the sea and up in the sky as well;

the earth is richly blessed with many kinds of fish and birds,
of plants and flowers and countless different trees.

Open wider your kosher eyes, Jesus, stumbling son of Joseph,

for God has not just a chosen bride; God's a lover with a harem.
